There are two ways to reposition the various texts on your graph. The techniques described here apply to any text—axis labels, grid labels, captions, annotations, etc.

Left Click and Drag

Position the mouse cursor over the text you want to reposition and left click to select it. Then drag with the mouse to move the label to its new position.

To keep you from accidentally disrupting the alignment of grid line labels, grid labels on the x-axis will only moved vertically when dragged. Similarly, grid labels on the y-axis will only move horizontally. If, however, you really do want to move the grid labels in the "forbidden" direction, you can still use the right click and nudge method below for that.

Right Click and Nudge

When you want to position the text very precisely, those types of adjustments are sometimes difficult to get just right, especially if you’re using the touch pad on a notebook. In these situations, right click the text you wish to select. Then, while you are hold the right mouse button down, use either the arrow keys or the W, A, S, and D keys on your keyboard to nudge the text into place.
