This feature is found on the Load a Graph page, which is available to users on the paid Boost plan.
How it Works
If you are logged in as a Boost (or Team) subscriber, then when you click the Download button to save a graph, GraphFree automatically includes metadata with the image that describes the settings used to create it.
Then, if you to go the Load a Graph page and click the Choose a Graph button, you can load that image from your disk, and GraphFree will reconstruct those settings and move to the correct graphing page for you. Then you can make any changes you want to the image.
Limitations
- The settings are not saved with the image unless you are logged in as a Boost subscriber.
- You cannot load and modify graphs created before the July 2026 update, since settings were not saved with the graphs before that update.
- Settings are not saved with the graph when you use the Copy to Clipboard button. This is due to browser security restrictions that prevent web pages from placing potentially nefarious data onto the clipboard.
Custom Fonts
Not all users have the save fonts installed on their computers. Therefore, even if you have selected a custom font family on the Customize page, that font choice will not be saved with the graph. When you load a graph, whether one you created yourself or one shared by another user, the texts will display in whatever font GraphFree is set to use on your computer.
